New Year’s Prayer

Verses of Renewal and Hope I put together this New Year 2022 for “Our Children and Grandchildren”:

1) “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Is. 43:18-19 Father, may our children let go of the past and perceive new things, ideas, and gifting that you lay before them. Thank you that you guide them and strengthen them as they go forth.

2) “And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Rev. 21:5 Thank you Father that you make all things new as our children go forth in 2022.

3) “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lam. 3:22-23 Thank you Father that your love for our children never ceases and your mercies for them never end. Thank you for your great faithfulness.

4) “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead.” Phil. 3:13 Thank you Father that the past will not become a snare to our children’s future. Thank you that they will press through any obstacles that come their way and complete the work you give them to do. May they finish strong!

5) “Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19 Father, as our children begin Year 2022 convict their hearts to repentance for any sin that might separate them from you, that they may be refreshed and renewed by your Spirit.

6) “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.” Jer. 29:11 Thank you Father that you have plans for our children, plans for their welfare and great hope for their lives.

7) “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them…” Ez. 11:19 Thank you Lord that you will give our children undivided hearts that are fully consecrated to you. May the spirit of the living God rise up in them.😎

8) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Prov. 3:5-6 May our children trust you Lord and submit to you in every way so that the path of their lives will be straight by your hand.

9) “You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance”Ps. 65:11. Father, this year 2022, may our children’s lives be filled with a bounty of your goodness and your hope. May they prosper for your greater glory in all that they do.We thank you and praise you,

in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Blessings to you,

Prayer for Vision

Prayer for VISION: Today we need vision more than ever my friends! The word vision appears 103 times in the Bible. While the notion of vision may seem unusual to some, it’s not unusual to God. Vision is given to us by God to direct and guide our path. I have put together scriptures (some are personalized) and personal prayer concerning vision. I hope you will join me in praying each day this week these scriptures over yourself and your family for God’s vision/direction in all that you say or do.

I. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he. (Proverbs 29:18 KJV)

Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is he who keeps the laws of God (Proverbs 29:18 NASB).

Where there is no understanding of the Word of the Lord, people do whatever they want to, but happy is he who keeps the law (Proverbs 29:18 NLT).

II. Pray :

Father, I praise you for inviting me into your eternal purpose. I thank you that you are working everything in me according to your will (Ephesians 1:11). You are the master strategist. Father, please give me a greater vision of your purpose. Awaken my heart and establish your reign in my life. I pray that out of Your glorious riches You will strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being and give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation that I may know you better (Ephesians 3:16-17). I want to know you Lord. Grant me greater vision that I may fulfill your destiny and purpose for my life. May I never surrender to a lesser life than you have designed and created for me.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

IV. Father I pray your Word over myself knowing it never falls void but always accomplishes its purposes:

1)“ I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.” Joel 2:28 Father please give me vision. Anoint me with your gifts that I may see clearly your will for me.

2) And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2 Father give me vision and I will record it and be guided by you. Then I will go forth and fulfill your purposes for my life.

3) Where there is no prophetic vision the people are unrestrained, but blessed is he who keeps the law. Proverbs 29:18 Father restrain me to your will and vision for my life.

4) For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3

Father I will wait expectantly for your vision and the steps I should take according to your will. I will go forth in faith as I step because I surrender my will to you.

5) For I know the plans you have for me, declares the Lord, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, to give me a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

6) Help me to …Seek you Lord and your strength; help me seek your presence continually! 1 Chronicles 16:11 Father I know that alone I am not enough, but by your strength and spirit I am more than enough in all things. I surrender myself to you.

7) “No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for me and those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

Father, I thank you and praise you. Please seal all these prayers in the name of Jesus. Amen

Blessings,

Karen

Christmas Prayers

 December 23 Christmas Prayers

1) Dear Lord, Don’t let us miss You this Christmas season. Help us to simplify our activities and traditions so we can focus our celebration on Your birth. Thank You for being the Prince of Peace, and we ask for your supernatural peace to reign in our hearts. Thank You for the simple but life-changing message of Your love for us. Keep us from distractions and help us to invite You into all our family activities. Teach us to pray and help us to glorify and worship You in our family during this busy time of year. Give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation that we might know You better. Thank you for being Immanuel, “God with us.” Open our eyes to realize this each day as we interact with others. Help us to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as You forgave us. Show us creative ways to love and care for those outside our home. Fill us to overflowing with Your love for the lost. Teach us to do acts of kindness to those who are in need at this time of year. May our family be a refreshment and light to others. We ask You to touch with salvation those in our family who do not know You [Name those individuals]. Open their hearts to Your great love for them. Help us to share Your Truth and be Your light. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

2) Loving Father, Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
That we may share in the song of the angels,
The gladness of the shepherds,
And worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate
And open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift
And good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing, which Christ brings
And teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us
Happy to be thy children
And Christmas evening bring us
To our beds with grateful thoughts
Forgiving and forgiven
For Jesus sake Amen.

3) Father, we offer our humble prayer this Christmas season. We come to worship with a song of thanks in our hearts—a song of redemption, a song of hope and renewal. We pray for joy in our hearts, hope in our God, love to forgive, and peace upon the earth. We ask for the salvation of all our family members and friends, and we pray your blessings on all people. May there be bread for the hungry, love for the unlovable, healing for the sick, protection for our children, and wisdom for our youth. We pray for the forgiveness of sinners and abundant life in Christ. Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with your love and power. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

4) O sweet Child of Bethlehem, grant that we may all grow in intimacy with You this Christmas season. Put into the hearts of men and women this peace for which they sometimes seek so desperately and which you alone can give to them. Help them to know one another better, and to live as brothers and sisters, children of the same Father. Reveal to them also your beauty, holiness, and purity. Awaken in their hearts love and gratitude for your infinite goodness. Join them all together in your love. And give us your heavenly peace. Amen.

5) May each of us be filled with the wonder of Mary, the obedience of Joseph, the joy of the angels, the eagerness of the shepherds, the determination of the magi, and the peace of the Christ child not only this Christmas day but every day of our lives. Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit bless us now and forever.

6) Lord, we thank You for coming to earth so You could redeem us. When we think of the extent to which You were willing to go in order to save us, it makes us want to shout, to celebrate, and to cry with thankfulness. You love us so much, and we are so grateful for that love. Without You, we would still be lost and in sin. But because of everything You have done for us, today we are free; our life is blessed; Jesus is our Lord; Heaven is our home; and Satan has no right to control us. We will be eternally thankful to You for everything You did to save us! We pray this in Jesus’ name! Amen

7) In a world where worry, not peace, prevails, may You stir up that good news again. This Christmas, make yourself real in the hearts of people across the nations. Never have we needed Your joy and peace more than now. Thank You for the gift of Jesus, our Immanuel, the Word made flesh. Forgive us for forgetting—that Your love never changes, never fades, and that You never abandon the purpose for which You came: to save us from our sinful condition, and to give us life eternal, the joy of relationship with a holy God. Your birth—and Your death—sealed Your promise to us forever.

8) Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth, may we begin to see the world in the light of understanding that comes from You. As you chose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest news the world had ever known, so may we be humbled and worship you in meekness of heart. May we also remember our brothers and sisters across the globe. May their eyes and ears be open to the Good News of You. May we also remember those less fortunate than ourselves in this season of giving.             In Jesus’ name, Amen.

9) Prayer for Christmas Joy…Father God release the joy in us that’s been crushed by pride, wrong priorities, or world events. Tear down the strongholds that have held us captive far too long. Extinguish the flames of apprehension that rob us of a calm, quiet spirit. Show us again the beauty of that holy night so many centuries ago.Your name is still called “Wonderful,” “Counselor,” “The Mighty God,” “The Everlasting Father,” and “The Prince of Peace.” As Your children, we cry out for a fresh filling, and a new awareness of who You are. We choose by faith to make the “good news of great joy” a reality in our own lives, so others can see us as lighted trees of life, pointing to You this Christmas. We know one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that You are Lord. And we also know that peace on earth can only come when hearts find peace with You.                                                                                                                            You are still our Joy. You are still our Peace. You are no longer a babe in the manger. You are Lord of lords and King of kings. And we still celebrate You as Lord—this Christmas and always. Amen.

Planting Seeds through Prayer

“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.  So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.” (1 Corinthians 3:6,7).

Our job is to plant and water seeds. God’s job is to make things grow. Let us pray:

1) May we plant seeds of Your love Father to all those we encounter. May they each receive a kiss of your Spirit. “Greet one another with a holy kiss” (Rom. 16:16).

May they each “ grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that (they) may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”(Eph.3:18-19)

2) May we plant seeds of comfort and encouragement to all through your Spirit. “Comfort [encourage] one another” (1Thess. 5:11).

3) May we see others through your eyes Father and plant seeds in accordance with your leading. “Seek what is good for one another and for all men” (1Thess. 5:15).

4) May we plant seeds of fervent prayer and intercession. “pray for one another” (James 5:16).

5) May we plant seeds of hospitality towards others. “Use hospitality toward one another without grumbling” (1Peter 4:9).

6) May we plant seeds of faith and trust in knowing well Him who grows the seed. May we plant seeds of patient endurance. “Behold the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains” (James 5:7-8).

7) May we plant seeds of strength and perseverance and finish strong the race God has designed for each of us. “Let us not lose heart in well doing for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary” (Gal. 6:9).

8) May we plant seeds that grow in intimacy with you Father. “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”(2 Peter 3:18)

9) May we plant seeds of humility considering others better than ourselves.

“Be completely humble and gentle;”(Eph. 4:2) “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. “(Phil 2:3)

10) May we plant seeds of unity in all we do and with everyone we know.

“…endeavour to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Eph 4: 3)

11) May we plant seeds of compassion and forgiveness.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.(Eph. 4:32)

12) May we plant seeds of obedience in all that we say or do.  “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”(John 14:21)

Pray for the Rohingya: 270,000 flee Myanmar

Another quarter of a million people, the Rohingya (see link below), on the move and added to an already expansive refugee population. There seems to be a shaking across the world in so many areas. How do we as Christians respond?
Please pray:
1) that your hearts will not grow cold to the suffering of people, no matter their nation or people group.
2) that God may use you to make a difference.
3) that God may give you the strength and courage to rise from your comfort zone and branch out in faith and in service to the many lost and hurting people; even in ways you’ve never done before.
5) that you may give generously: financially, physically and prayerfully.
4) that God may soften your heart and give you His love for all people.

According to God’s word… all peoples, all tribes and all nations are
His people (Rev 7:9) Shouldn’t we invariably reflect the character of the one we follow? In His love, shouldn’t our mandate be His mandate?

May we seek you deeper Lord and reflect the character of you in all that we do.
Amen

Abandoned, Abused, Homeless Children- A Word and a Prayer:

 Discarded and abused—but not forgotten

Psalm 27:10

“Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.”

2 Timothy 4: 16 – 17 “At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. ”

Countless children across the world have been abandoned because their parents have died, couldn’t afford to feed them, or simply did not want them anymore. These children often experience unimaginable suffering while living on their own. On our recent mission to Ethiopia and Kenya we met missionaries and local volunteers of children’s homes spending their lives to give rescued children an opportunity to know and love Jesus. Serving in an orphanage we saw first-hand babies and young children embraced by loving Christian caretakers. And yet, for many we still evidenced the lingering effects of malnutrition and abuse that had previously ravaged their innocent lives. Wrinkled skin and blackened marks were noticeable on many of their hands and feet. A few had larger heads disproportionate to their small bodies as their malnourished bodies drained nutrients from the hands and feet. The body naturally preserves the head as the last place affected, thus the enlarged heads. We also were able to pray and love on a set of 2-year-old twins who lived in a totally darkened place for 9 months. With no light at all, the mother hid them and rarely fed them. By God’s grace a neighbor lady rescued the twins and they were placed in the orphanage. They still have eye problems and difficulty focusing in light. The twins arrived 3 months prior to our arrival. Inseparable, we quickly noticed them following each other everywhere around the orphanage. One of them would cry while  continuously squinting her eyes as if in pain. After we prayed and laid hands on her, the crying ceased for the rest of the day… Praise the Lord.

Children orphanage 3-4

Hungry and vulnerable, many orphaned and abandoned children have no choice but to beg in busy streets or may eventually become trapped in a life of prostitution. Children left to survive alone on the streets face sickness, sexual and emotional abuse, and severe malnutrition. Across the world about 2 million children are exploited every year in the global commercial sex trade. For the millions of children still on the streets, the dangers of human trafficking, bonded labor, extreme weather and various diseases are all threats they must face daily. For those children who have found safety and placement in children’s homes, there is still a long road of recovery they must travel because of the pain and abuse they have endured.

Please join me in prayer …

Heavenly Father, please protect the children living on the streets from the harm that could easily befall them. May you miraculously save the many boys and girls trapped in lives of bonded labor, sexual abuse and homelessness. Please bring wholeness and healing to each of these boys and girls whose bodies and hearts have suffered immensely. May they become physically and spiritually strong by Your grace.

Almighty Father, We lift up the children of this world, the ones who live comfortably and the ones who have no roof above their heads. We lift up the children who have never heard of You. And today as we pray, we remember and lift up in Your tender loving hands, the abused and abandoned, living without love, without hope, and without the basic needs of life.

Lord Jesus, we call upon Your blessed name and pray for the children who are abused and suffering from wounds inflicted deep within them, and those led into sin at a young age, not knowing what they are doing. In Your blessed power, release them from these captives and may their hearts be reconciled in Your perfect love and healing.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to open their eyes and hearts to Your love. May they come to know You deeply, and experience Your love wholeheartedly,

We pray in the blessed name of Jesus, Amen!

A Prayer for the 90 + kidnapped Christians of Syria

My heart weeps as I write this today….

The poet William Arthur Ward said:

I will do more than belong…I will participate.

I will do more than care…I will help.

I will do more than believe…I will practice.

I will do more than be fair…I will be kind.

I will do more than forgive…I will forget.

I will do more than dream…I will work.

I will do more than teach…I will inspire.

I will do more than learn…I will enrich.

I will do more than give…I will serve.

I will do more than live…I will grow.

I will do more than suffer…I will triumph.

We can’t do whatever is easiest and still reach our goals. We must do more. We must do “whatever it takes.”

Ah, that we would be people of faith with such passion for the glory of God and His kingdom that we would be compelled by Christ’s love in all diligence. William Arthur Ward’s statements are all tenets of our faith propelling us go beyond all that is expected or asked of us into the miraculous realm of God.

Yesterday more that 90 Assyrian Christian men, women, and children were kidnapped from their Syrian village by militant terrorists. They have been drawn into a horrific situation beyond our imaginations or our understanding. And yet, many of them are already crying out, “ We are Ready to Meet Jesus today.” In spite of the torture, the molestations, the beatings and the beheadings, many of them have already stated that they will not compromise. And most of the parents have trained their children to do the same. In war torn countries, like Syria, parents actually practice daily with their children, repeating the actual words they will say in the event of capture. This is what Christian mothers and fathers have to train their children to do in Syria. While we are teaching our children to ride a bike, tie their shoes and bake a cake, they are teaching their children how to face torture and death. They are ready to go beyond expectations and beyond all earthly demands. They are ready to die for their beliefs. Ready to die for love of Jesus.

What about you? Have you died to self and laid down your life for Jesus. Time is shorter than we believe. Have you made a decision to give your life for Him? Will this be the day you will be asked to give your physical life as well? We don’t know what life holds for each of us, nor the time frame, but we do know that we will all leave this life one day. May we all be prepared to meet Jesus. May we all be captivated by His great love and His demonstration of that great love as He died for us. Beaten, humiliated, tortured and mutilated, He laid down His life for each of us. As much as we try to avoid and deny it, suffering is part of our legacy. It’s engrained in our lineage.

Today let us cry out for the 90 + kidnapped Christians of Syria who face unspeakable tortures and possible martyrdom this day. May they be set free my Lord! May Christians rise up around the world in great prayer, pleading and crying out in unison, to the only real power that can intervene and set them free, Jesus Christ our Lord. And if they be martyred this day,  may they be strengthened beyond all measure. Embrace them my Lord and wrap them in your Spirit that they may find you in the midst of incomparable pain and suffering. May they do more than suffer, let them triumph!

“And they overcame him( Satan)by the blood of The Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives unto death.”(Revelation 12:11)

Prayer Against Terrorism

Prayer Against Terrorism

Dear Heavenly Father, our protector and defender,

Today we are joining your people worldwide in praying against terrorism in every form that it exists across the face of the earth.  We begin our prayer to You with the strong words of Psalm 10:17 “You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.”  (NIV)  We use this strong promise to pray against all terrorists and all acts of terror meant to strike fear into our hearts.

We pray today that your people will not be shaken.  We declare your word in Psalm 16:8  “I have set the Lord always before me.  Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”  (NIV)  And so we shall not be shaken from offering this bold prayer to you against terrorism and for continuing to seek healing, hope and security for all people.

We pray for your divine protection, claiming your word in Psalm 7:9 “O righteous God who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.”  (NIV)

We pray for those who have been directly affected by terror.  We claim Psalm 9:9 for them, “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”  (NIV)  We thank you that the victims of terrorism are in your heart, that you care as it says in Psalm 10:14  “But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand.  The victim commits himself to you;” (NIV)

We pray for law enforcement and military around the world who protect your people from acts of terrorism and who are on the front lines of security.  May your angels empower them with supernatural wisdom and discernment and may your angels protect them as they protect us.

We pray a fresh empowering of your Holy Spirit upon us as we offer this prayer.  May we continue to pray with faith, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”  (Matthew 6:10,13)

Empowered by your Holy Spirit, we declare against this terror, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”  (Psalm 23:4-6)

We now break the power of fear and invite the Holy Spirit’s power of strength, help, willpower and miraculous wonder working power to have full reign in our hearts and minds and in our hurting, terrified world.

We pray in the name of Jesus, the Risen Lord.

Amen

A Prayer for Indestructible Daughters Across The Globe

A Prayer for Indestructible Daughters Across The Globe:

1. Father, as your daughters may we have a deep desire to listen to You and to pray often, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?” (Joshua 5:14b).
2. May your daughters learn early in life that to obey You, Father, is the best way to the life their hearts truly desire (1 Samuel 15:22).
3. Father may your daughters find comfort in Your ability to reach, hold, and rescue them (2 Samuel 22:17-18).
4. May your daughters please You Lord, by desiring, requesting, and utilizing a discerning heart full of wisdom (1 Kings 3:9-12).
5. May your daughters find confidence in You, Father God. Even when hard times come and they do not know what to do, may they keep their eyes fixed on You(2 Chronicles 20:12).
6. Father give your daughters a great desire to accept Your word and to store up Your commands within them so that their ears will forever turn to Your great wisdom, (Proverbs 2:1-2).
7. May your daughters keep themselves under control and not give full vent to people and situations that anger them (Proverbs 29:11).
8. Give your daughters the ability to rise above the traps of people pleasing, so they may be kept safe by trusting You, Father (Proverbs 29:25).
9. Father let your daughters walk in the security of Your assigned worth to them. Give them a strong work ethic and health to accomplish all their tasks. Give them a heart that desires to extend a hand to those in need. May they be women of joy and laughter whose Christ-centered character makes them beautiful. (Proverbs 31).
10. And Father God, every time You whisper, “Follow me”, may your daughters do so with great grace and in full obedience unto You forever and always (Matthew 4:19).

May your daughters be strengthened and rise as warriors to Your cause.

In Your name we pray…Amen
